RAMONA & NATHAN

Ramona Staffeld is a passionate and accomplished dance instructor who brings joy and creativity to the dance floor. Her leadership and enthusiasm make every class an engaging experience. Spotted at age 14 by Frankie Manning, Ramona was invited to open with him at Lincoln Center’s Midsummer Night Swing series. Her values and priorities in dance were greatly influenced by her time with Frankie. She is also a champion dancer, holding titles from prestigious competitions such as the Ultimate Lindy Hop Showdown and the World Lindy Hop Championships.

Nathan Bugh is known worldwide for his intimately rhythmic style of Lindy Hop and vernacular jazz. He “rocked the stage” at Carnegie Hall, performed in Harlem’s famous Apollo Theater, and danced at Jacob’s Pillow. Nathan is also a co-creator/choreographer of “SW!NG OUT”. Nathan has taken 1st place in Lindy, Slow Dancing, Solo Charleston, Team, Jill&Jack, and Cabaret divisions. He was one of the most eminent solo-jazz contestants in the world, winning both the Ultimate Lindy Hop Showdown (2012) and International Lindy Hop Championships (2014), as well as achieving 3rd place in the ILHC invitational (2018). Nathan is based in New York City, where he performs regularly and teaches social-dance classes.
